Need a hand with deben? Here is how to get help. deben has no account and keeps nothing on our side, so most things are quick to sort out right on your phone.

Email support@debenapp.com for help, questions, or ideas. For anything about your privacy, write to privacy@debenapp.com. deben is made by one person, so replies are personal, and may take a day or two.

Quick answers

Many common questions are answered on the home page FAQ: whether deben is free, how it reads your messages, whether it needs internet, which devices it supports, and what "safe to spend today" means. Start there for the fastest answer.

A bank deben has not learned yet

deben reads transaction messages from many banks and countries, and you can teach it a new one in about a minute inside the app. If a message is not read correctly, correct it in the review screen so deben learns, or email support@debenapp.com with the bank's name. Please do not send us the message itself, since it may contain personal details.

Backups and your data

Everything deben holds lives only on your phone, so there is no server we can restore from. Make an encrypted backup and keep it somewhere safe, and remember its password. A forgotten backup password cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Deleting an item, clearing old messages, or uninstalling removes your data for good.

Reporting a problem

Found a bug or something confusing? Email support@debenapp.com with what happened and your phone model. Please leave out amounts, account numbers, and message text so nothing sensitive travels by email.
